CHARITABLE SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM
The Grossmont Healthcare District has awarded more than $36M in grants, sponsorships, and scholarships since the Community Grants Program began in 1996. Those public monies have benefited community-based service providers, educational institutions, and the Grossmont Hospital (operated by Sharp HealthCare). The sole source of funding the District receives is through property tax dollars from district residents in East San Diego County. As such, District grants and sponsorships are a reinvestment of those tax dollars back into the community.
The FY25-26 community grants application is now closed, and will reopen on July 1, 2026. However, requests for District sponsorship of fundraising and one-time programs or events may be submitted year-round through the Submittable portal, until such time that the annual budget has been committed.
